We currently do not have any heifer calves available. Please contact us to be put on the waiting list.. Prices for heifers will be $850 for black and dun; $2,000 for DNA certified red heifers. HN tested black and dun bull calves born will be available for $600.
We are offering our grassfed Dexter steers for $500. These steers are gentle, compact and will be ready for the freezer in the Fall. As we are not "certified" organic, we nonetheless raise our animals as organically as possible. No feed, no added hormone implants,
FYI: grassfed Dexters have a 55% carcass yield, grainfed are 60%. These averages are higher than "typical" beef cattle.
Spanish and Spanish/Kiko kids:
We have had 12 doelings and 8 bucklings this winter. They will be ready in March of 2008. All but two are Kiko-Spanish crosses, one set of twins are our large East Coast Vallera-line Spanish. Doelings will be priced at $150 regardless of size or age; bucklings at $1.25/lb live weight.
